Know your cut before you load in.
LiveMusicNYC sells the room before the night. You see the date, the ticket price, the room and your share before you say yes, and you're paid from tickets already sold.
- Free for artists, always
- Terms fixed before tickets sell
- No playing for the door
Why join
Built for the band, not the promoter.
Everything on your side of LiveMusicNYC is free. Here's what you get the day you claim your page.
Free to join
No sign-up fee, no monthly plan, no cut taken from your merch. Fans never pay a booking fee either.
Every term in writing
Date, set times, ticket price, capacity, the confirm number and your share, written once and shared by both sides.
Offers come to you
Mark the nights you're free and venues searching those dates find you. No cold emails to talent buyers.
Real numbers, live
Watch advance sales climb toward the confirm number. You know the night is on well before you pack the van.
What you get
Your studio, from free night to paid night.

Load in knowing the night is sold.
The show confirms before the day, so you're not guessing at the door count from the stage.
The math
What a night pays.
Slide the numbers. This is the same calculation we use for real settlements.
This sample room holds 150 and the show confirms at 80 advance tickets. Fans pay the ticket price only: the 10% platform fee comes out of the gross, then the artist takes 70% of the rest. Every offer can set its own split.

How it works
From free night to paid night in four steps.
- 1
Claim or create your page
If you've played a listed room, your act may already have a page. Claim it, or start a new one in a minute.
- 2
Mark your free nights
Keep a simple calendar of the nights you can play. Venues filter on it when they look for acts.
- 3
Take the offer that works
Accept, decline or counter. Nothing changes after you accept unless you both agree.
- 4
Play, then get paid
The show confirms from advance sales, the door checks tickets in, and your share is settled after.
Questions
Good to know.
Does it cost anything to join?
No. Artists never pay to use LiveMusicNYC, and fans never pay a booking fee. The platform takes a small fee from the advance ticket gross, and the rest is split between you and the venue on terms you both see first.
What happens if a show doesn't reach its number?
If advance sales don't reach the confirm number by the cutoff, the show is cancelled and every fan is refunded in full. You haven't hauled gear across town for an empty room.
Can I negotiate the terms?
Yes. Counter any offer with a different price, share, date or confirm number and a note. Each version is kept, with the changes highlighted.
Who sets the ticket price?
The venue proposes it in the offer and you can counter. Fans pay exactly that price, with no fees added on top.
How do I get paid?
Your share is calculated from advance sales once the show has played. During the pilot our team pays out and records it; automatic payouts come with the next release.
